Kandariya Mahadeva Temple
Kandariya Mahadeva Temple is the largest Hindu Temple and it's decorated with erotic sculptures, like most of the temples in the group of temples found in Khajuraho. The temple has been preserved since the medieval times. This temple was built by Vidyadhara, which is one of the greatest kings of the Chandela dynasty. It was built about the year 1000 BC. The main shikhara or spire has a height of 31 meters. Is said to represent Mount Meru, which is the sacred mountain of the God Shiva. The main tower is surrounded by 84 miniature towers. Inside the temple you'll be able to see the Shiva Linga (symbol of Lord Shiva), which is made of marble.
