A cool retreat
This park is on the El Kahira street, at the corner of Avenue Mohamed V. Rabat has lots of public parks, and this is more like a square with a green space - an open square with a couple of cafes, and two hotels. Tall palm trees give enough shade so that the park remains cool in summer. You'll often see groups of women in the cafes, which is unusual in small towns in Morocco - normally men go alone to cafes. The park has a pedestrian promenade that leads to the city's largest park, the Nouzhat Hassan gardens.
