Juha Taskinen House

Did you know that the largest lake in Finland, Lake Saimaa, lives an endangered freshwater seal? I certainly did not know until I had the opportunity to meet someone who loves these animals, and who fights for the preservation of this unique inhabitant. Juha Taskinen is the man that is trying to teach people about their unique situation. The lake Saimaa ringed seal is on the verge of extinction. ONly about 260 of these seals remain and Juha Taskinen in collaboration with conservation associations lost lives in a small house near Savonlinna, also used for photographic exhibitions. This friendly Finnish man is the author of several books.
