Variety of activities for attendees
The Festival Jours de Loire has changed several times in terms of place and atmosphere. Since 2010, the main area of the festival is the Island "La Metairie", in the small town of La Ville aux Dames. On the island in 2010 there was a variety of activities for attendees. Artists have created many works located in several places on the island, in interaction with nature. So, which one frames became a work of art, or through which the landscape became art. Metal tubes and other rare pieces by the wind became musical instruments. Once at evening, several lighting devices island made the magic back.
Besides all this, theater and musical bands, games for all ages, bar and snacks! The festival also includes walks to discover the nature of the river, with several people involved (on the website is the "voyage le long du fleuve"), something I have not tried it yet but I want to try in 2011! I guess it will be in the same dates or late June! An original way to discover the Loire Valley, UNESCO heritage of humanity!
