Excellent

As part of the "Cerecera", every year in Jerte there is a food festival, whereby the various restaurants concoct a special menu based on dishes made with cherries. In 2013, it took place from May 30 to July 21. I tried the Black Peak Restaurant menu of 35 € which included the following courses:-arugula salad with smoked cod accompanied by cherry and walnut vinaigrette. -Rice with seafood and saffron from La Mancha. -Shark roast with vegetables, fried garlic, chilli and cherry. -Pork cheek in red wine and cherries and chickpea humus. Amaretto-sorbet-rice pudding with cherry ice cream. Plus, bread, wine and water.
