Jevnaker Church
This church is made of wood when it was constructed in 1800. Interestingly, though, it was first made of stone in the late 9th and early 10th centuries during the Kyrres Olav times. Although it was to retain its original structure when it decided to expand its capacity was not possible and had to be demolished. Its imposing bell tower stands above any other detail of the facade. Inside are remarkable elements such as an impressive organ, baptismal font from the pulpit or the altar. Even today it is the largest church of Hadeland and it can accommodate 700 people inside. The building is surrounded by a large cemetery just like in vast majority of churches I have had the opportunity to visit in Norway.
