The most important monument in the city
The Monastery of Jesus of Setúbal, the most important monument in the city, now houses the city museum. Originally built in the late 15th century in Manueline Gothic, it has to be rebuilt after the earthquake of 1755. From the original church, it only retains the facade, the portal and the large windows.
