Jean Pesyn
Pesyn and his wife (Marie le Mahieu 1578-1650) built a place of worship. The inscription reads "Here you can see the ruins of a cabin in ruins by a childless couple, well built structure for poor foreigners who were expelled from their homeland and lived in peace here." The couple was married in 1605. Marie was the widow of Jean de Lannoy - a distinguished family of Flemish Brabant Tourcoing 1570-1604 - of whom he had two sons and a daughter, Jean Pesyn of Tournai and had no children. The house corresponds to the Congregation of the Church of France - and it is located in the Kernhoff Pieters area.
