Los restos arqueológicos encontrados en el Jardín de Prisciliano ubicado frente a la Iglesia de San Vicente y a los pies de la Muralla, muestran vestigios del siglo I a la actualidad, alguno de los cuales serían restos de edificaciones y sillares romanos, unos hornos y unos verracos. Estas excavaciones se venían realizando desde el año 2001 y para cuando los visité se hablaba de una propuesta de puesta en valor de los mismos.
Prisciliano (340/385) fue el primer Obispo conocido de Ávila en el año 380, se lo presumió hereje al no coincidir con otras autoridades de la iglesia y fue ejecutado con algunos de sus discípulos siendo sus restos trasladados a Galicia.

The archaeological remains found in the Garden of Priscillian located opposite the Church of St. Vincent and the foot of the wall, showing traces of the first century to the present, some of which would be the remains of Roman buildings and blocks, some ovens and some boars . These excavations were being done since 2001 when I visited and spoke of a proposed enhancement thereof. Priscillian (340/385) was the first known Bishop of Avila in the year 380, it boasted a heretic for not coincide with other church authorities and was executed with some of his disciples to be his remains transferred to Galicia.
