Janya Statue

Janya is a bronze statue of a little elephant that is incredibly realistic and stands opposite the town hall, across the street. It was a gift from Chester Zoo to the city, installed in 2010, and designed by the sculptress Annette Yarrow. I didn't have the chance to visit the zoo, but it is known for its modern approach and commitment to animal welfare and ecology.
