Kilometers and Kilometers of White Sand
If you like the beach but you don’t like sharing it with half a million other tourists, and you don’t have a huge budget to go to the other end of the world, that means that the beaches in Fuerteventura are perfect for you.
The beaches in Jandía, south of the island, offer kilometers and kilometers of white sand and crystalline waters which are not crowded. But you must have a car to get there, or strong legs. We took a vehicle that was suitable for sleeping inside it, so we didn’t spend money on hotels, but we also were lucky enough to sleep in amazing beaches, with nobody around!
To get there, you start at the place where the ferry left you, probably Corralejo or Morro del Jable, but the island is small, and to go from one place to the next won’t take more than an hour. The beaches in Jandía receive lots of German tourists, so don’t be surprised if you see everything written in German.
