Touring with Operators
Like on all tours organised by a tour operator as well as visiting the monument in question (in this case the Mayan Ruins of Chichen Itza), they usually bring you to some of the stores where they get commission , and of course they get one or two coaches to stop here because "supposedly" it has very clean bathrooms or toilets. The itza craft shop is "another shop", which works like the rest of the stores in the Riviera Maya, through bargaining. First you choose the item you want to buy, the seller tells you the price and the customer barters to get the price wanted. This time the store Itza was ran by a family and had everything very well placed and exposed to the public, selling almost anything: Hacamas, silver objects, ceramic dishes, statues of wood, bone, stone and various materials, t-shirts, etc ...
