Independence and Humanitarianism Monument

The Independence Monument is in the Independence Square and the principle of the square if one enters Sharaf Rashidov Avenue and next to the Arc Ezgulik [. This was constructed in the year 1991 and represents the sovereignty of Uzbekistan. This is a golden globe where the contours are marked territorial boundaries of the state. Even though the boundaries of this globe has nothing to do with reality it symbolizes the desire of the state to the join the world and the recognition of other countries. Under this globe there is the memorial "Happy Mother" opened in the year 2006 which was completed by sculptor Kamolom Ilhomom Dzhabbrovymi.
