Ilha Fiscal

Construída para servir ao Ministério da Fazenda durante o segundo reinado do Império Brasileiro, a Ilha Fiscal (que recebe este nome por seu serviço alfandegário), é um dos passeios mais marcantes e por isso disputado durante os verões cariocas. Com sua construção que data do século XIX, mas que se inspira em castelos franceses do período tardo medieval, a Baía de Guanabara fica mais atraente, principalmente pelo fato da construção ser emoldurada pelas belezas naturais e turísticas do Rio. Com uma história repleta de fatos (como o do último baile do Império), o passeio é um atrativo para todas as idades e com exposições para todos os gostos. O espaço ainda pode ser alugado para festas e eventos, sendo uma das locações mais tradicionais do centro da capital carioca. Atualmente a Ilha é propriedade da marinha, sendo os passeios administrados pela mesma. Como morador da cidade, recomento fazer o passeio em pleno dia e ao cair da noite (chegue sempre um pouco antes do horário de distribuição de senhas se for fazer o mesmo em alta temporada), neste último, as luzes da cidade deixam a baía ainda mais bela.

Essa maravilha foi projetada pelo engenheiro Adopho José Del Vecchio. Sua primeira atividade, em 1889. Para chegar até a Ilha Fiscal, a Marinha do Brasil organiza uma visita guiada gratuita que pode ser feito por um micro-ônibus (em caso de mau tempo - não tem ar condicionado), ou por uma escuna Nogueira da Gama ou pelo Laurindo Pita.
