The menu was all delicious
How well we ate at this restaurant on the trip we took to Malta last December! It is at the top of Mellieha, in the curve just before the steep descent to Ghadira Bay and along the main street called "Gorg Borg Olivier". It's actually an old mill that was rehabilitated into an elegant restaurant, both the exterior and interior, with numerous details and a welcoming atmosphere, indeed intimate, inviting to dine and celebrate a romantic evening in good company. It has a terrace outside which is used on summer evenings. We, being December, ate inside where logically there were not many diners, which made the dinner was even more intimate and each dish enjoyable.
It is a restaurant with enough class and elegance, so the price of the menu is relatively expensive. Yes, this restaurant has the peculiarity that has a dinner menu of 14 € (2009), but only till 19:30, so it is perfectly oriented to the English and other Europeans like a very quick dinner. Logically, it did get us to eat dinner at 19:30, but we spent walking one day around and despite it being 20:30, we were still served. The menu was all delicious. Both the quantity and quality of the products tasted were exquisite, dishes including some decoration and pretty elaborate overtones, using traditional materials but with a modern touch. The waiter who served us also very nice and friendly. To complete the menu a glass of Maltese wine, rather "bland", but to accompany the menu we ordered a "Medina" white a wine made in Malta with Italian grapes, it was delicious. So if you go to the north of Malta, Mellieha, I would not miss this restaurant for the world, especially if you can "seize" dinner menu, a menu where the value is amazing.
