The highest steeple in town
Saint Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, so of course there are churches across the country in his honour. Interestingly, one in Fort Wililams is the Episcopal Church, which is quite ornate as it was once Catholic. Almost in the center of the town, with its own cemetery, the church has the highest steeple in the town. It was founded in the late Middle Ages just before the Scottish Reformation, and has been restored several times. It fell into the hands of the Episcopal church in Victorian times. Its showy exterior makes it one of the most interesting churches in Fort Williams.
