Interesting archaeological treasures
Not many people realise that Lloret, besides being a top tourist destination, also has some interesting archaeological treasures to see. Among them are the deposits that were found in 1943. Excavations began in 1968, and a pentagon-shaped floor was found, bounded by walls and with a central space presumably for public use. It dates to the third century BC, when Rome and Carthage fought in the Punic Wars to control the western Mediterranean. It is located on top of what is now known as the urbanization Roca Grossa, where you have a great view of the sea.
