Small beach and crashing waves
Humbug Mountain hulks near the southern end of the fabulous Oregon coast, about six miles south of Port Orford. Though crammed into a narrow canyon, this is among the most pleasing of Oregon beaches, in part due to the short walk out to the small beach and its crashing waves. The park covers 1,842 acres around the 1,759-foot namesake mountain, which plunges nearly straight into the sea. The park sports some of the warmest weather on the Oregon coast, in part because it seems to be sheltered from the onshore winds.
