Huia
The small village of Huia is situated on the bay of the same name. Getting to the village is not very easy, the road is a real roller coaster when it passes through the village of Titirangi. For those who want to go by bike, you should note that on the way there are two particularly steep hills, and the use of an electric bike is highly recommended. The town is located on the eastern side of the bay, and the only business there is the "cafeteria-fishing club-bar-kiosk meeting place" which is at the start of the second beach. They serve possibly the best cup of coffee in all New Zealand. Apart from fishing, one of the recommended activities is bird watching, some such as egrets forage, and can be seen on the beach enjoying the low tide.
