Squatted Social Center
Tacheles is a large building located in the Mitte-Scheunenviertel, "squatters-section," home to a lot of artists and artisans. Admission is free. You can come and walk around the building quietly and respectfully because the people there are working. The artisans have their work ready for sale. There are plates, pictures, earrings made of various metals, some clothes. There's a bar in the upstairs part where you can have a beer (one of the freshest I've drunk in Berlin). There was also someone playing music. There are people walking and taking photos and looking at the artisans' stands. The yard has a recycled materials exhibit that you can visit.
