Maison de l'Infante
After the wedding of King Louis XIV to Maria Theresa of Spain, the city of St Jean de Luz was considered to be a royal city. From 1660, it played host to the Queen Mother, Anne of Austria, the future Queen of France, Maria Theresa of Spain, The Duke of Burgundy (brother of the Duke of Anjou, Felipe V). It is considered to be one of the most beautiful buildings on St Jean de Luz, its pink stone conspicuous near to the harbour. At certain times of the year, you can visit the interior, where beautiful views of the harbor and the pointed "The Rhune" can be enjoyed.
