House of the Founder

Right in front of the Plaza de Bolivar is the "Founder's House," which was owned by Captain Gonzalo Suárez Rendón, during the colonial era. The house is built in colonial style with some beautiful Rennaisance influence, and it is a great example of he civil architecture of the time. It is right in the historic center of the city, which was declared as a national heritage. It is the current seat of the local government and at the same time it is the Boyacense History Museum.
