Bad customer service
On my second visit to Toronto I preferred to change hostel because the former was a little far from the center and had no atmosphere, so I went to Clarence Park, a quiet and pretty place because it was better rated. The problem was that I arrived at 22:30, and although when booking nothing was specifically indicated, the reception closes at 10pm, and even though I had paid for the reservation they wouldn't let me in. It was raining heavily, and the Italian night porter must have felt sorry for me because he let me in but I was not given a room key, so I could not go out for dinner. What I saw of the hostel was fine, with a large kitchen, a living room with large TV, free wifi, and very friendly with backpackers from around the world, and the bedrooms were not bad.
