There are some impressive views from a place called Horseshoe Bend near the town of Page, Arizona. It's location is well-marked and after you park your car it´s about an 8 minute walk to get to this breathtaking view of the famous Colorado River bend as it almost reaches the Powell River. Just be careful, there aren´t railings!
Horseshoe Bend is a meander in the Colorado River near the town of Page, Arizona. You have to leave your car and hike about 15 minutes to get there. The views are just spectacular. To get an idea of the staggering dimensions, just look at the size of the boat on the river or the people in the right of the photo. Near Page, there are also incredible places like Antelope Canyon and Vermilion Cliffs (which you need a special permit to visit).
