I've been going to Holland for several years now, and there is always somewhere new to discover. This time it was Hoorn, a small seaside city north of Volendam and Marken. If you like to imagine the places that developed many of the classic tales, then this is the perfect place for you. Its square, its small houses, its colours, its town hall, and the statue in the middle of the square who looks like it might come to life at any time to tell about the glorious past of the town's trade and commerce. Highly recommended.
