Church of the Holy Trinity
This is an old Lutheran Church, that was constructed in 1743 and destroyed by a bomb on July 24, 1943. It is very well situated as it is very close to the Municipal Palace and just two blocks from the park that surrounds the river Elbe. It was reconstructed in 1950 to give it its original image. It is surrounded by gardens and on one side there are many tombs that have survived the bombings of World War II. From the top you can see the banks of the Elbe and the whole city. Altona is a beautiful city, with a history between Germany and Denmark, and both roots are reflected in its buildings and its
