Church of the Holy Trinity

It's worth going to Stratford-upon-Avon, just two hours from London by train, to see Holy Trinity Church. It's a beautiful church known mainly because it contains the tombs of William Shakespeare and his wife, Anne Hathaway. The tomb of the illustrious Englishman is covered by a flat stone on which there is an epitaph believed to have been written by himself: "Good friend, for Jesus' sake forebear to dig the dust enclosed here; Blessed be The Man That spares These stones and curst be He That moves my bones".
