Typical

The market is located close to the port so most of it is based around fish and seafood, though you can also find fruit, vegetables, and handicrafts. Most of the stalls are run by women and it's difficult to find a man at a post. One of the things that caught my eye was the skinless frogs: literally, they had been skinned alive and lay in a bucket. You can also find clothing shops, pharmacies, and even a temple.

Under construction

The Central Market in Hoi An was under renovation in May 2009. This forced some stalls to be moved to the "clothing market" and others were established in the street around the construction site. One of the most interesting parts of the Central Market is that it's next to the river so you can buy fish from local traders.

Pass by this market

I really recommend that you come to this market. It's on the river, and here you can find an abundance of fruits, vegetables, herbs, dried seafood, as well as discover the lifestyle here. Our guide told us that anything that moves in Vietnam can be eaten ....
