Interactive Museum

Excellent

This building was originally the waterworks building, the first waterworks of Valencia, giving this place a peculiar structure and atmosphere. It is still a quite unknown place to the majority of the people of Valencia, and it houses a permanent and very interesting exhibition dedicated to the history of Valencia. It is divided into eight periods, from Valencia in the year 138 BC to contemporary Valencia. In each one of the periods or areas, you will find a collection of objects, documents and works of art that are representative of that time. In the middle of each area there are two mini stages, each one with its own monitor and the option of recreating historical spaces of the city and diverse everyday scenes that make reference to each moment. It is a ideal place to visit with children and it is a real joy to be a able to decide which time period interests you and to see the event recreated in front of you by just pushing a button. The museum also has a very modern technological equipment that recreates in virtual reality the city through the 22 centuries, the Time Machine. The visitor can choose a time period and navigate through it, learning many interesting facts about the city. For its construction, they had to develop a rigorous project of urban reconstruction backed up by the historic planimetric, as well as the archeology and architecture. It is a fun and entertaining museum with all kinds of media. You can get there with bus number 7, 3, 70, 81, 20, 17, 29, and 95. By subway you can get there with line 3, Estación 9 d'Octubre.
