Historic Pullman Found. Visitor Cen.
George M. Pullman bought 4,000 acres of land south of Chicago and only 600 hectares were used for the construction of factories and the first industrial city in Pullman, Illinois. Solon Spencer Beman, who was only 27 years old at the time, was hired as the architect for the city and Nathan F. Barrett was the landscape architect. The museum displays all the history of the creator of this industrial city and its construction.
