Gold Mining History
The Storico Dell'Oro Italian Museum (Alessandria) contains tools and documents relating to the search for gold in Italy, particularly in the area of Ovada where there are organised mine tours, demonstrations of washing auriferous sands and valley visits. The various sections include publications and a catalog-inventory of precious minerals, nonmetallic minerals that accompany the gold and the mining activities.
