Fairy tale palace
The Schloss Herrenchiemsee is on an island in the lake Chiemsee in southern Bavaria. It's 1 of the three palaces built by the Bavarian King Ludwig II (Mad King). It has over seventy rooms, although it's not finished, as the king ran out of money. The part of the palace which is finished is well worth a visit. Ludwig II of Bavaria only lived there for 14 days, before his untimely and accidental death.
