Ermita gótica
Nuestra Señora de Alarcos se halla a dos pasos del Castillo de Alarcos, y por supuesto se puede visitar y se debe visitar!... El castillo me gustó, pero la ermita me/nos sorprendió mucho, y gratamente.
Puede ser que al acercaros desde el castillo, veáis que le reja está cerrada e incluso hay un candado, pero si os acercáis hasta la misma puerta, veréis que el candado está abierto y sí, se puede entrar. Encontramos a un guía allí dentro, refugiado del viento y la lluvia que había, y que enseguida se puso a explicarnos el lugar y todas sus peculiaridades. Si lo encontráis, no dudeis en escucharle, porque realmente es bueno, nada pesado y merece la pena seguirle!.
La ermita es una delicia, no encuentro mejor palabra, y no soy amiga de iglesias, en general... Es una construcción gótica, del s. XIV, de líneas puras, sencillas, sobrias y a la vez finas y elegantes. Sus columnas tienen capiteles y bases muy interesantes, con rostros tanto de cristianos como de rasgos negroides, suponemos que son testimonio del pasado árabe del lugar. También hay flor de lis, búhos o lechuzas...
La "estrella" es el rosetón, que en determinadas horas de los días soleados, proyecta su luz hasta el altar, justo en el otro extremo de la nave, creando esa atmósfera mítica que tan bien viene a los sermones litúrgicos :-).
Por lo visto, una vez al año se hace una vigilia, es decir, la gente va a pasar la noche rezando a la Virgen del lugar.

His columns have capitals and interesting basis, with faces both Christians and Negroid features, we assume that testify of the Arab past of the place. There fleur de lis, owls and owls ... The "star" is the rose, which at certain times of sunny days, the light projected to the altar, just on the other end of the ship, creating that mythical atmosphere so well comes to liturgical sermons :-). Apparently, once a year is a vigil, ie people will spend the night praying to the Virgin of the place.
