Il piccolo paese di Herceg Novi è situato all'ingresso della [poi=156771]baia di Kotor[/poi], in Montenegro. Situato nei pressi del monte Orjen, questa località è famosa per le sue spa, oltre che, ovviamente per la sua posizione e i panorami spettacolari. Particolare e da visitare assolutamente è la città vecchia alla quale si accede tramite un'antica porta. La fortezza è raggiungibile grazie ad una breve camminata e, i più romantici, potranno camminare lungo la bella spiaggia al tramonto. L'antica chiesa di Spas in Topla è interamente costruita in pietra ed è un monumento di particolare interesse architettonico. Io ho trascorso qui un paio di giorni visitando anche gli altri paesi della baia e vi consiglio assolutamente di fare lo stesso perché ne vale la pena, nonostante in alta stagione questa zona sia affollata da orde di turisti.
The small town of Herceg Novi is located at the entrance of the [then = 156771] Bay of Kotor [/ then], in Montenegro. Located near Mount Orjen, this resort is famous for its spa, as well as, obviously because of its location and the views spectacular. Particular and well worth visiting is the old town which is accessed through an ancient gate. The fort is reached by a short walk, and the most romantic, can walk along the beautiful beach at sunset. The ancient church of Spas in Topla is entirely built of stone and is a monument of special architectural interest. I spent here a couple of days visiting the other countries of the bay and will never recommend to do the same because it's worth it, although in high season this area is crowded by hordes of tourists.
