Heraklion Harbour

The Venetian port of Iraklion, has a strong Venetian feel from the XIV century, it's a large, commercial port (the second largest in Greece) and in the summer has many cruise ships that bring tourists to see the city and Knossos Palace.

Without going to the beautiful port in Chania, Heraklion is impressive by its long breakwater on which you can walk, jog or just sit on one of the benches and enjoy the sea breeze. Many fishermen go there as well.
