Harvey Milk Square

The Harvey Milk Plaza is a tiny space at the exit of the metro station Castro, and is under street level, so its not always easy to find. It is a tribute to the politician who fought for gay rights and was assassinated in 1985. In the square there is a commemorative plaque and a selection of photos showing his political career.
