Path through the Desert
Walking through the caked and scarred earth, I could see how once there was life, the small rounded pebbles that litter the ground, the flowing echo of eroded stone, and the deep empty ravines indicated that water once flowed freely. But, that was long ago.
It was nearly 7am, I heard the morning call of the first prayer not too far from the city, the voice was somber and heavy, and it the voice reverberated through the valley. The air was crisp, the morning orchestra of wind and scuttling creatures passing by, my heart delighted in the senses.
