Happy Rolph's Bird Sanctuary

I decided to go for a walk by Lake Ontario while visiting Happy Rolph's Animal Sanctuary in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. During the summer months, there are farm animals here for children to interact with, as well as a small park where they can play. During the Spring, Fall, and Winter, the park is considerably quieter and provides a sanctuary for wild birds. There are many trees where the birds can live, as well as a pond where ducks and geese are known to frequent. I saw many ducks and Canada Geese here, swimming around in the pond. There is a great paved path that runs right along the lake that connects to the Canadian 9/11 Memorial, where a tree is planted for every Canadian who died in the World Trade Center terror attacks.
