Hall of the Vicars Choral

1 review of Hall of the Vicars Choral

Historic site

The entrance to the Rock of Cashel was vicar's choir room. This is a building that housed the Chamber Choir of the vicar and a museum, as well as bedrooms. It is an annex that was built in the fifteenth century.

Once inside the building, you will pay 6 euros for entry (4 euros for seniors). The visiting hours are from 9 to 17:30. In the downstairs area (or crypt), you will find a museum that preserves the carved stone slabs and the original cross of St. Patrick, whose replica is between this building and the Cathedral. You will also see rare silver coins and axes from the Bronze Age. The Chamber of Vicario is a fifteenth century hall that housed the male choir that sang in the Cathedral.
