Hafa Café

El café Hafa ha sido uno de los lugares más bonitos y tranquilos que he visitado en Tánger. Me sorprendió y lo recomiendo sinceramente a todo el mundo que visite la ciudad. Está situado en la calle Mohammed Tazi, una estrecha calle de tonos azulados ya fuera de la medina, hacia el noroeste de la ciudad y mirando al estrecho de Gibraltar. El café está casi plenamente construido al aire libre (aunque algunas zonas tienen tejado), con paredes azul claro, tan típicas de Marruecos, y tiene varias terrazas a diferentes alturas. La construcción es muy sencilla y no hay adornos ni lujos, aunque todo está bastante cuidado. El ambiente es muy mediterráneo, con mucha luz y tranquilidad. Solo se oye el mar. El café Hafa fue fundado en 1921 y era el sitio favorito en Tánger del escritor Paul Bowles y los Rolling Stones para fumar hachís. La vegetación es otra de las cosas que hace que estar en este café sea un privilegio para cualquier turista: cactus, palmeras, plantas, flores y árboles frutales. Además, el té a la menta y los batidos de fruta que venden son exquisitos. El trato es muy amable y la clientela es joven y cosmopolita. También hay gente jugando al backgammon.

Hafa Coffee has been one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have visited in Tangier. I was surprised and would highly recommend them to everyone visiting the city. It is situated at Mohammed Tazi, a narrow street of blue tones and outside the medina, to the northwest of the city and overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. Construido en el año 1921 y situado muy cerca al barrio Marshan, éste lugar te ofrece toda la tranquilidad que puedas necesitar durante tu estancia en Tánger. Puedes tomarte una bebida refrescante o un té en éste café compuesto de terrazas escalonadas, un balcón con hermosas vistas al mar. Las mesas están compuestas de cemento y cerámica y las sillas son las típicas de plástico que se compran en cualquier centro comercial para usar en jardines. Me parece un lugar ideal no sólo para que el cuerpo se reponga para volver a iniciar la marcha sino para relajarte mentalmente, y es que después del ajetreo de una ciudad tan abarrotada como el centro de Tánger te vendrá bien sentarte, refrescarte, leer, escribir o revisar tranquilamente las fotografías de la cámara.

Estuvimos buscándolo durante un buen rato y no lo encontramos. Paseando por la carretera, bordeando por fuera la Medina llegarás a el, tienes que estar atento para no pasártelo y el acceso es un poco más peculiar, subir por unas escaleritas hechas en la misma roca, un poco más complicada. No pude disfrtuarlo pero tenía una pinta...

Situado sobre los acantilados de la Alcazaba se puede observar una impresionante vista sobre el Estrecho. Insuperable el té verde con hierbabuena que todavía se prepara con carbón en su precaria cocina donde también se puede degustar una estupenda Harira (típica sopa marroquí). Un "Petit Taxí" te llevará desde el centro por unos pocos céntimos.

Un lugar donde disfrutar de un auténtico té marroquí.

Increíble... Unas vistas especiales. Un té por 1€... El té clásico de este país. Podrás verlo en los días despejado España... Y es una sensación preciosa el estar tan cerca de tu país... Viéndolo desde allí pero con una cultura tan sumamente distinta... Los baños de este bar no son recomendables... Por lo demás todo divino. Merece la pena el paseo hasta allí.

Se puede llegar cómodamente andando, es un lugar muy tranquilo, con vistas al mar y buen té. El trato es bastante bueno, también hay opción de comer pero nosotras no probamos nada.
