An Architectural Marvel
Habitat 67 is a housing complex designed as a pavilion for Expo 67 in Montreal, Canada. The concept was conceived and designed by Israeli-Canadian architect, Moshe Safdie. It is a highly recognizable and significant building in the world that is still in use today - people live in these apartments! We visited Habitat 67 to see this giant concrete structure that is such an iconic, famous housing complex. Habitat 67 is located right along the waterfront, facing Montreal's Old Port. There is a bike path going right past Habitat 67, so you might catch it on a bike ride or a stroll in the city, although it is a little bit out of the way from downtown.
