Top 20 Seafood Restaurants in the US!
Voted one the Top 20 Seafood places in the country through Travel Magazine while located in the middle of America without an ocean in sight is quite a feat in itself!
I was not craving a fish dish. I was not particularly in the mood for "fine" dining/upscale dining. I was in the mood for a beer...but this place had only four taps. But, I went anyway because I was curious about the hype.
Let me tell you: the hype is 100% accurate.
I have been to several restaurants casual to the finest of dining experiences throughout Chicago. I have been to a variety of restaurants all over the world. I have been to seafood places on coastal regions! This restaurant holds it's own and is in fact possibly more impressive since it is not right on the ocean. We had 6 oysters with a house made Ponzu Migonette and a house-made cocktail sauce, Sunfish Ceviche, and fried oyster Po Boy Sandwiches....We just went for a beer and snack and I CANNOT wait to go back!
The oysters tasted so fresh! Even the ones from New Zealand go figure! There was one from the west coast that was described with a watermelon taste...and it did! I could eat 20 of those Po Boy sliders, and even only with 4 taps they had some of the best beer I have had all summer.
