Great examples of caves
The island of Sardinia has some great examples of caves, but not many can boast access as amazing as those of the Bue Marino (sea ox) in the Gulf of Orosei. This set of galleries is only accessible by boat and travel by them, which takes 20 minute and transports you to another world. The name of the cave was given by the marine Bueis colony that used to live there, but the human presence has scared away the animals. There are inscriptions on rock within galleries testifying use intermittently by the original natives of the island. The visit to the Grutta you can reserve from Cala Gonone. Just join one of the tours departing towards the Grutta (the boat ride and entrance to the cave are sold in the same package).
