4 reviews of Greenwich Market

An excuse to visit Greenwich

Less well known than others, this market has furniture, antiques, second-hand clothes, books and food to eat in a semi covered space in the heart of Greenwich. The stalls are open 10:00-17.30 on Saturday/Sunday and are an excuse to visit Greenwich, a beautiful area of London on the Thames with lots to see. Its main attraction is the imposing architectural ensemble of the National Maritime Museum and the Old Royal Naval College, magnificent buildings facing the river. Another treasure is Greenwich Park, the oldest park in London and one of the most evocative. The streets around the park are amazing, narrow and quiet, hiding charming shops and restaurants with great flavor.

If you go to Greenwich by bus or subway, don't miss the boat back as you see London from the Thames with its docks, ancient buildings and new-modern towers - it's a great experience especially if you enjoy amateur photography.
