Towns in Island of La Graciosa

The island of La Graciosa is a unique natural park located in the northern part of the island of Lanzarote, and it is the only inhabited island of the Chinijo archipelago.

The catamaran, which takes you to the island, leaves from the small marine town of Orzola, and the journey is about 20 minutes long. The views are spectacular, the boat rocks a bit, but it doesn’t stop you from taking pictures of the landscape.

We arrived to the town of Caleta de Sebo, with a small port and beach safe from the strong winds, where you find a few white houses, a supermarket, coffee shops and a restaurant. We went to the next golden sand beach in order to get to know a bit better the island. It had calm and clean waters, but the wind was so strong that it forced us to go back to the town of Caleta de Sebo.

In this same town, they offer you to take you by boat, for 6 Euros, to other beaches in the island, such as La Francesa, Cocina or Las Conchas. But since the wind was really strong, we decided to stay in Caleta de Sebo.

The journey from Lanzarote to La Graciosa takes about 25 minutes, and a lifetime of memories. Those ve have been there know that it is a treasure that few have shared.

It has dream beaches, a few bars and lots and lots of sand. The only towns are Caleta de Sebo and Pedro Barba, and both are fishing towns. You can camp, dive, cycle, hike, observe birds, be in the beach, trek…

La Graciosa, My Paradise

The first time that I went to La Graciosa, I was 23 years old. I went with two friends and it was an adventure since we decided to go camping. Today, I am 30 and I have been there nine times and in a month it will be the tenth time. La Graciosa is a magical place, where you can find peace, tranquility, nice beaches, relax…everything next to nature.

Today I stay in apartments, since they have restricted the camping areas, but it is still wonderful. I recommend that you go for many days, to really enjoy the island.

Si estás en Lanzarote y tienes tiempo, una de las muchas cosas que puedes hacer es visitar la isla de La Graciosa. Más allá de su curioso nombre, lo cierto es que merece totalmente la pena. Hay varias opciones de visita: Yo recomiendo la más rápida, ya que se encuentra muy cerca y apenas se tarda un ratito. Sin embargo, nosotros hicimos una más rápida que, ciertamente, se nos hizo muy larga, ya que da un par de vueltas y, además, el mar andaba revuelto, así que fue un poco incómodo. Aún así, está bien montado, te acercan en zodiac a una cueva, te dan un aperitivo… Una excursión recomendable. Una de las zonas que más me sorprendió de mi viaje a Lanzarote por la región de La Geria. Es que es un sitio muy especial. Ver todos esos cultivos de uva tan originales en ese terreno tan difícil no me dejaban de sorprender. Además, formaba unas imágenes preciosas: Tierra negra con el verde de la viña. Por supuesto, una vez conoces además todo el proceso artesano que requiere tener que cultivar uva de esa forma tan complicada en un terreno tan agreste aún te hace otorgarle más mérito a los agricultores.

La Graciosa es una pequeña isla que forma parte del archipiélago Chinijo, en las Islas Canarias. Es un pequeño islote situado al norte de Lanzarote (en la provincia de Las Palmas). Tiene sólo dos pueblos y conexión exclusiva por mar, cogiendo un barco en Órzola (en Lanzarote). Yo viajé con Líneas Romero, económico y puntual. La isla se puede recorrer a pie, ya que sólo tiene unos 30 kilómetros cuadrados, o alquilando unos jeep que te llevarán a la zona que quieras y estarán a tu disposición durante el día, pudiendo parar en playas o en la zona que más te guste. Es muy barato el alquiler del jeep, realmente barato ya que la comida en las tiendas del pueblo es algo cara, pero merece la pena. Los restaurantes tienen un precio normal y puedes comer pescado fresco recién sacado del mar y unas buenas papas con mojo. No es necesario viajar al Caribe para ver playas paradisiacas. Ésto es un remanso de paz, calma, tierras vírgenes y playas por descubir. Me declaro enamorada del paraiso.

L'ile La Graciosa, au Nord de Lanzarote est une petite île de sable, au relief intérieur volcanique; son seul village est Caleta de Sebo, l'autre village, Pedo Barba, est entièrement utilisé par les résidences de vacances. La Graciosa est une île très sauvage, où il n'existe aucune route goudronnée. Les rues de Caleta de Sebo sont faites de sable, et les pistes qui parcourent l'île ne sont utilisées que par les rares 4X4 présents ici. l n'y a pas de sources d'eau sur l'île. L'eau potable est acheminée par bateau et par un pipeline qui passe sous le Rio, le détroit de plus d'un kilomètre de large qui sépare La Graciosa de Lanzarote.

La Graciosa es una isla muy pequeña al norte de la isla de Lanzarote en Canarias. Solo consta con un pueblo donde viven mil personas, y se llena un poco más en la temporada turística con visitantes de un día. Para llegar a la isla, tienes que tomar una lancha que tarda 20 minutos y te lleva al puerto de la Graciosa, desde El pueblo no está nada abandonado, tiene sus bares, su iglesia, su escuela … y obviamente sus servicios turísticos, se pueden alquilar bicicletas para darle la vuelta a la isla, aunque la mayoría de la gente prefiere caminar hasta una cala y pasar el resto del día tomando el sol. Hay unos locos que cruzan nadando también, así que si te sientes en forma, pon tus cosas en una bolsa plástica y a nadar! Para los más flojos, hay un servicio de taxi, con el único taxi de la isla. Si no quieres tomarte un viaje hasta la isla, hay un mirador al norte de Lanzarote que ofrece muy buenas vistas, es el Mirador del Río, otra obra de César Manrique, pero cierra temprano. Nosotros no pudimos entrar pero desde la zona vecina se podía ver muy bien.

Vivir la experiencia de acampar en la isla de La Graciosa, durante 11 días ha sido uno de las vacaciones más relajantes, divertidas, emocionantes que he tenido el gusto de disfrutar. La pequeña isla de La Graciosa, con una población de menos de 500 habitantes, un clima extraordinario, unas playas con arena dorada y mar cristalino, hacen que se convierta en un verdadero paraíso. Sus calles sin asfalto, y pisar arena por donde quieras que vayas hacen que su encanto sea aún mayor. Además, el factor de vivir en plena naturaleza, dormir bajo las estrellas únicamente con la luz de la luna y el sonido del mar que te hace mecer, es la mejor forma de olvidarte de todos tus problemas. Pero no todo fue relajante, también reímos, bailamos y gozamos en sus noches, bares y terrazas, en las que el ambiente isleño se respira en cada esquina. El 2010 fue el primer año en disfrutar de la isla, a partir de ahí no hemos dejado de repetir, encontrándonos cada verano con nuestro lugar de vacaciones y con todos los amigos. Un'oasi di tranquillità

L'isola è abitata da 600 persone ed è un'oasi di pace. Nelle giornate di vento assomiglia ad una sorta di villaggio marocchino. Appena sbarcati (si prende il traghetto da Orzola, nell'estremo nord di Lanzarote, la traversata dura 20 minuti e in alcuni tratti il mare è molto mosso), ci si accorge subito di essere stati catapultati in un altro mondo. L'unico villaggio è quello vicino al molo, Caleta del Sebo. Il resto dell'isola è formato da terre brulle che si possono percorrere a piedi, in bici (sul molo ci sono numerosi noleggiatori) o in land rover. Non esistono strade asfaltate e non sono molti i turisti che arrivano fino qui. Ma ne vale davvero la pena.

No visite este rincón hasta mi tercera visita a la Isla y no sabeis lo que me arrepiento de haber tardado tanto en conocerlo, ISLA GRACIOSA es un rincón natural ,un pueblo tranquilo, salvaje y paradisíaco, con unas playas de ensueño, un pequeño puerto maravilloso y sus casas, sus calles y su gente,sin duda visita obligada, os recomiendo coger el ferri y pasar allí el día , os enseñaran rincones de la isla os proporcionaran canoas y snorkel para ver el fondo marino.Os enamorareis de esta pequeña isla

A pesar de ser una isla prácticamente desconocida, es donde se puede encontrar un descanso y tranquilidad que debido a su entorno. En otras no tanto, ya que carece de semáforos, tráfico, etc. Mientras estás en terrenos "graciosero", todo es tranquilidad y desconexión total, de los alrededores, sus playas un lujo.
