A friendly place to go
It would be unthinkable to travel to Scotland without practicing the national sport. If you're visiting Edinburgh and want to try your hand at some putting, I recommend the Merchants of Edinburgh Golf Club, located south of the city in the district of Craiglockhart. The course offers a great atmosphere and lovely views. And the club is a great, friendly place to go for a drink afterwards. For about 35 pounds, which is quite reasonable, you can complete the 18 holes with a complete set of rented equipment (clubs, balls, shoes, etc).
