Podría escribir mil líneas de este lugar lleno de historia, podría comenzar por decir que una de las Villas de este hotel fué la casa de Ian Fleming, Bob Marley solía visitar sus playas y grandes personalidades han pasado por este lugar mágico, tranquilo, en medio del caribe. Además que el dueño del hotel también posee una marca de ron, Blackwell, un auténtico ron con especias jamaiquinas. Mi villa, la número 13 (Vista en la foto) era un paraíso con vista al cielo. Cada villa posee su propio muelle y kayaks, sí, pueden irse al spa, al restaurante o tan solo navegar por el pequeño lago con el que cuenta este lugar. Magnífico no?, algo que hace memorable a este hotel es la comida, una fusión internacional con sabores 100% jamaiquinos, hay dos restaurantes y es suficiente, en una semana no podrán probar todos los platillos. El postre?, cualquiera que elijan es muy bueno. Aveces cuentan con parrilladas al estilo Jamaica, más conocidas como "jerk". Si tienen suerte podrán ver alguna celebridad en su restaurante o en las playas, a mí me tocó suerte. No dejen de visitar la aldea de St. Mary justo a unos minutos en carro del hotel, y claro, el destino turístico de Ocho Ríos con todas sus actividades que tiene para ofrecerles. Un sitio auténtico de Jamaica, una experiencia que nunca olvidarán. Sí en este preciso lugar se escribieron las 12 novelas del agente 007, más conocido como James Bond. Es un lugar mágico y ahora entiendo el porqué Ian Fleming eligió este lugar para sentarse a escribir. Es un cuarto muy grande, con una ventana que da un patio caribeño verde, al fondo, la inmensidad del océano. La habitación ha cambiado un poco, ya que ahora es una villa del lujos hotel Golden Eye, de cuál hablaré en otro de mis rincones. Pero el escritorio y la silla permanecen intactos. Es un lugar que definitivamente inspira, incluso yo me senté a escribir mis primeras líneas. Todo el ambiente se mantiene muy sobrio, limpio, amplio y sobre todo lujo, no se paga poco para permanecer una noche en este sitio. La Villa está cerrada generalmente y hay que hablar con el concierge si uno quiere un tour privado por la misma. Es un poco difícil acceder a este lugar, pero si logran entrar, disfruten la maravillosa vista al mar desde el gran ventanal, aquella misma vista que Ian Fleming disfrutara mientras inventaba al personaje de James Bond.
