Going through the high mountains of Yushu

Yushu se trouve à une altitude de 3700 mètres, mais cette ville est située au fond d'une cuvette, et il est donc nécessaire d'emprunter un col d'altitude pour y arriver... ou en repartir ! Avant d'arriver à Yushu, je pensais que le mal d'altitude était une légende pour faire peur aux enfants, mais j'ai eu l'occasion d'en souffrir à ce moment-là : alors que vous êtes pris par l'émotion par le passage du col à plus de 4820 mètres (et tous les tibétains avec vous dans le car jètent des carnets de prières entiers par la fenêtre pour remercier bouddha d'avoir permis au bus d'arriver jusque là entier), un méchant mal de crâne commence à se faire sentir. Il faut savoir que ce simple mal de crâne peut évoluer en oedème cérébral mortel, il est donc préférable de ne PAS faire comme nous, mais à la place de prendre quelques jours pour partir de Xining et rejoindre Yushu. Si malgré tout vous souffrez de l'altitude, hydratez vous en buvant énormément d'eau, et mangez des glucides et du chocolat, ils sont connus pour aider ! Et dans tous les : profitez du paysage !
