6 reviews of Gnejna Bay

A hammocks rental service

This beach on the northwest coast of Malta, is one of the few beaches in the country. It is located next to Golden Bay (better known, but more touristy). It is a quiet beach with even fewer people. To get there, follow the signs to Golden Bay but before arriving to that beach you will find Ghajn Tuffieha. There is parking for those arriving by car, next to one of the defensive towers that are so typical of Malta. To access the beach, you need to go down a huge set of steps (there is also a winding road). Next to the beach there is a restaurant serving snacks and a drink at sunset after a good bath.

Used to spot pirates

Near the town of Mgarr you'll find this bay where there's also a beach. On one side of the beach there is a tower that was used to spot pirates in medieval times. This beach is quite small and quiet. It's ideal if you want to go for a swim or sunbathe without stress!

Breathtaking views

North of Malta you'll find this beach that offers breathtaking views. It's a small beach between two cliffs, sheltered from the wind and jellyfish, common in summer in Malta, It's not accessible by car and you have to go down a set of steps before you can enjoy the 27 degree water. I'll let you judge for yourselves.
