Glenfinnan and Loch Shiel

Try Glenfinnan and the valley and lake. This is of course a place with much charm and with picture postcard beauty. There is a souvenir shop at Loch Shiel as well as the Glenfinnan Monument. Glenfinnan was born of a prehistoric glacier which subsequently led to the valley that remains today. The lake, beautiful and one of the most well known and most visited. It also provided one of the natural settings for the Harry Potter films. Basically the lake occupies the majority of the valley, though not entirely, where the monument, museum and tiny village lie. This is a quite corner with no artificial
